Telegram Desktop: How it Works
You use Telegram privately on your smartphone and would also like to use the messenger via your desktop? Then there are two options available to you:
- Telegram Web
- Telegram Desktop Application
You can open Telegram Web directly in your browser. To link your account to it, you can log in using your phone number or a QR code.
**WhatsApp Web via QR code: **
- Open Telegram on the smartphone
- Open settings and select devices
- Select Link Desktop Devices
- Scan the QR code with your smartphone
Alternatively, you can log in directly via your number. All you have to do is select your country of origin and then enter your mobile phone number. You will then receive an SMS with a code that you enter on the website for confirmation. Telegram Web is then available to you.
Telegram offers a desktop application for both iOS and Windows. This can be downloaded and installed directly via the Telegram website. Once you have installed Telegram Desktop on your device, you can log in again via a QR code or your phone number. The procedure here is identical to the web version of the messenger.
A small special feature of the Telegram desktop app compared to the web version is the possibility to make phone calls with contacts.
Using Telegram for Business on the Desktop
